The clinic was perfectly organized by Stanislav KASSAROV in Nessebar, nice touristic village on the Black Sea, 400 km distance from Sofia. The accommodation was convenient and comfortable in a hotel on the shore, providing breakfast and lunch, within 10 minutes walking distance from the Conference Centre. The conference room was convenient with two video projectors, board, and had been fit up in a way the attendants were split in “panels” of 5 to 6 per table.

The program laid on 3 days, from Friday, 10:30, to Sunday 16:00. After introductions of instructors and attendants, an individual evaluation test was given, with 2 quiz’s: 15 simple diagrams on right-of-way situations, without rulebook, and 15 simple questions about jury procedures with possible use of rule book.
Purpose of this evaluation was to fit the content of the clinic with the general level.

Of course, participant levels were pretty different, with some having attended a clinic and prepared to take part to the next judge seminar and pass the test. But the majority was composed of already Race Officers wishing either to get more knowledge and information about jury work or to change orientation towards jury qualification.

26 attendees took part to the whole clinic: 14 from Bulgaria, 5 from Romania, 3 from Hungary, 2 from Greece, 1 from Serbia and 1 from Macedonia.

After a short lecture about ISAF structure and organization, particularly on event organization and making of the racing rules, the work was based mainly on exercises, either by panels or individuals. Each exercise or situation proposed was presented by one or several panels and followed by explanations of the rules and procedures applying.

This method was appreciated, giving opportunity to everyone to be involved and to participate, regardless to their original level and experience.

A presentation of Rule 42 was given, with support of video documents.

A one hour test (optional but in fact everybody took it) was proposed on Sunday afternoon.

Feedbacks at the closing meeting were really positive and our wish is that the clinic will help a majority of attendants to continue towards a judge qualification.
