Rule 42 Video
The Original ISAF Rule 42 Video was finalised by the RRS 42 working party in 2003. A new version will be available in due course for the new Rules.
The video is a valuable educational tool for judges, sailors and coaches alike, and ISAF hopes that it will be used in conjunction with the official RRS 42 Interpretations to disseminate the information as widely as possible within MNAs, Class Associations and at events. Priority CDs were sent to the delegates that attended the ISAF Judges Conference in March 2003. Copies were also sent free of charge to all MNAs, International Judges, International Umpires and ISAF International Classes on 29 July 2003.
Copyright Statement If you wish to make copies of the CD, please be advised that under no circumstances may this material be used commercially. No part of it may be circulated, quoted or reproduced for further distribution without prior written approval from the ISAF. ISAF would like to thank Takao OTANI for his work on the production and editing of the video footage, and the RRS 42 Working Party members, in particular Jeff MARTIN, for their hard work in reviewing and finalising the material used. A consistent approach to the implementation of the rule has always been the RRS 42 Working Party's main objective. Feedback from recent regattas tells us we are making a positive impact. The RRS 42 Working Party will continue in its efforts to ensure that this early success is built upon.
Your feedback is always welcome. If you have received a copy of the video and have any comments regarding the video please send them to the ISAF Secretariat, email secretariat@isaf.co.uk
