Strong winds today have forced the race management team to postpone racing after five glorious days of sunshine and light breeze, which preceeded today’s 30 knot + conditions.

Only one race was held today for the Women's Laser and Men's and Women’s Sailboard. Hobie and men's Laser races scheduled for the afternoon were abandoned following a deterioration in the weather.

Sailors from New Caledonia currently dominate the event, holding Gold medal position in four of the five events at the half way point in the championship, as well as all of the top three positions in the Women’s sailboard, being led by Solenn GOURAND.

In the Men’s Laser event, and following a tough start scoring an OCS in race one, Teiva VERONIQUE has dominated the remaining seven races, winning every single one of them, ahead of countryman Jessee BENSON.

Racing is expected to continue tomorrow, 8 July, and the 12 race series continues until Wednesday 9 July. Full resulta are available on the event website at the address below.
