232 sailors from 35 countries are entered. Under IODA (International Optmist Dinghy Association) regulations, these are different sailors from the 208 who participated in the IODA Worlds last month. Entries are restricted to eight sailors per country (16 for Spain as the host Country) with not more than five of the same gender. Charter boats are mandatory due to the cost of individual transport to the island venue.
