Other significant experiences
With six years experience on Council followed by six years on the Executive Committee, I feel I am well experienced in the operation of ISAF
During the past six years the Executive have relied on my advice on the Offshore situation including he Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship Race. I was instrumental in negotiating with the America's Cup for over US$2,million in fees for ISAF
With a career in the construction industry, I was actively involved in assisting to deliver a very successful sailing event in the Sydney Olympic Games. This knowledge will also be an asset during the preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games in China
Being a experienced businessman, I have knowledge of financial management and therefore have a broad range of skills to bring to the Executive Committee
A very competitive sailor, I have raced in the famous Sydney Hobart race on 30 occasions, as well as the America's Cup three times, I currently race a 60' yacht on a weekly basis with reasonable success
