 Shirley went to Sydney intent on claiming a medal, having narrowly missed out in Savannah. With the exception of Races 1 and 2, she wore the yellow leader's bib from start to finish claiming Gold in the final race. Whilst Olympic training has dominated over the past few months, Shirley is also an active match racer and is currently ranked 6th woman in the world.
