Thirty-five crews remained in Miami for the North Americans, with recent Miami OCR winners LARSON and SPAULDING holding a one point lead after a 3,3,4 start on the opening day. A bullet in race 3 puts WARRER and KIRKETERP right behind the leaders.

After a perfect start with a bullet in the opening race, reigning North American Champions Dalton BERGAN and Zach MAXAM (USA) lie in fifth overall after 12,8 scores.

Twelve races are scheduled on Biscayne Bay, with racing from 1-4 February.

The 49er North American Championship is taking place as part of the Winter Circuit surrounding the ISAF Grade 1 Rolex Miami OCR.
