LEROY Wins Another
Women Trentino Match Race 2005

Claire LEROY (FRA) has won the ISAF Grade 1 Women Trentino Match Race on Lake Garda, Italy, defeating 2004 ISAF Women's Match Racing World Champion in the final.
In the semi-finals
LEROY went down in the first match to Klaartje
ZUIDERBAAN but came back to take the second and third matches and thus her place in final.
BARKOW meanwhile gave herself the same challenge after losing to Lotte MELDGAARD-PEDERSEN (DEN) in the first of their semi-final matches before going on to win the next two.
Ranked at number one in the world, LEROY despatched Sally BARKOW 2-0 in the final whilst Lotte MELDGAARD-PEDERSEN (DEN) dealt the same fate to Klaartje ZUIDERBAAN (NED) in the battle for third.
Competing at her first ISAF graded match racing event Ekaterina SKUDINA (RUS) should be pleased with a strong performance, more usually seen out on the Yngling circuit, SKUDINA finished seventh overall, ahead of sailors ranked in the top 20 of the ISAF World Match Race Rankings.
