The Irish Sailing Association is the National Governing Body for sailing and boating in Ireland. The ISA was one of the first sports to begin operating under a published Strategic Plan which is now in its second edition. After a successful period of leadership, during which the ISA has grown considerably in its scope and service standards, our Chief Executive is moving to new challenges within marine activities.
The new Chief Executive will lead a well motivated team, including experienced management and staff that handle implementation of the strategy.

The post requires that skills have been well developed in the majority of the following areas:
• General management duties including skills in team motivation, financial control, IT strategy, company law, strategic and operational planning.
• Very sound knowledge of sailing and boating’s organisational structures.
• Sound knowledge of yacht racing practices, rules and organisations
• Technical knowledge of marine legislation and good practice
• Presentation and negotiating skills at high level
